The Happiness Retreat, Clarens
13 - 15 March, 2026

In a world that feels increasingly loud, fast, and reactive, this retreat focuses on something simple and deeply human : happiness.

Not the forced, curated kind — but the grounded, ordinary happiness that comes from feeling at home in your body, steady in your mind, and connected to what matters.

Through yoga, rest, nature, and gentle psychological insight, we’ll explore what happiness actually looks like when life isn’t perfect — and why it might be more accessible than we think.

Set on a game farm at the foothills of the Maluti Mountains, this retreat invites you to reconnect with self and nature, in a breathtaking 1000-hectare sanctuary bordering Golden Gate National Park. Just 10 minutes from Clarens, Letsatsi Mountain Lodge offers a nurturing home for a weekend of yoga, meditation, mountain hikes, scenic horse rides, and rest.

Whether you're seeking adventure or stillness, enjoy thoughtfully restored farm-style accommodation, nourishing meals from the farmhouse kitchen, and quiet moments by the pool, patios, or fire boma.

We’re also delighted to welcome Ilse Robbertse, a friend, colleague, and part of our studio community, who will be joining us for the weekend and sharing a gentle, conversational reflection on happiness. Rather than analysing or diagnosing, Ilse brings a warm, relatable perspective on what happiness can look like in real, imperfect lives — shaped by how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us. With a light touch on the science of wellbeing and plenty of room for curiosity and shared reflection, her offering is intended to feel human, accessible, and woven naturally into the rhythm of the retreat.

Below is a detailed programme of what you can look forward to.
