Letsatsi Retreat | 3-5 March 2023

Set on a game farm at the foothills of the Maluti Mountains, the Letsatsi Mountain Lodge is an idyllic sanctuary for a weekend of connecting with self and nature.

 

Bordering the Golden Gate National Park (only 10 minutes from Clarens), this 1000-hectare piece of heaven is yours for a weekend of relaxing, yoga, mountain hikes/horse rides, and picnics in the veld.

For the less adventurous and for those needing to lie low for the weekend, the lodge’s farm-style accommodation with carefully chosen finishes makes it beautifully nurturing and homely. Relax on one of the covered patios, around the pool deck, at the fire boma, or at the dam, enjoying delicious produce from the farmhouse kitchen while appreciating the historical sandstone charm of the recently restored farm and lodge buildings.

 

Although all weekend activities (including yoga) are optional, below is an idea of what the weekend will include:

Friday 3 March

14h00 onwards: Arrival of guests and afternoon at leisure to explore the farm, relax, etc. 

17h00: Sunset yoga by lantern light, on the lawn at the lodge

18h30: Sundowners at the fire boma, followed by dinner in the dining room

 

Saturday 4 March

07h30: Healthy breakfast in the dining room

08h30: Hike/game drive/horse-ride (you choose) approx 8 km into the mountains with close views of wildebeest, zebra, eland, and other game. 

10h30: Slow stretch and flow yoga class with a view

12h00: Lunch on the lodge verandah (harvest table) and then leisure time to relax, or find a fire and cuddle up with your book, etc.

17h00: Sundowners and canapés at Sunset Rock (1 km from the lodge)

19h00: Candle-lit dinner in the dining room

 

Sunday 5 March 

08h00: Morning yoga in a historical sandstone chapel 

10h00: Brunch in the dining room 

11h30 onwards: Guests depart

Cost:

The cost for the weekend is R5 350 pp (sharing a room and a bathroom in a beautifully renovated historical farm cottage).

 

This includes 2 nights accommodation (with rooms serviced daily), all meals, 3 yoga classes, use of horses and game vehicle, tips for the staff (they are incredible), and exclusive use of the 1000 ha farm with its trails, dams, etc.

 

You’re welcome to bring your own drinks, although they do have a fully stocked bar should you prefer to run your own tab for the weekend.

 

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance payable by 25 February.

Vino & Vinyasa Stellenbosch Retreat 22-25 March 2023

This retreat is one for lovers of wine, food, yoga and the outdoors. Imagine yoga in the vineyards, charming farm style accommodation, private wine-tastings, guided hikes into the Stellenbosch mountains, and gathering under the stars for an evening of music and delicious food. Section currently under editing.  

The retreat will be hosted at Camberley Estate, a boutique wine farm situated between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

 

Camberley is known for its exceptional wines, wonderfully warm owners, and beautiful farm cottages overlooking the Simonsberg mountain.

 

Guests can look forward to private tastings in the cellar, delicious harvest tables of freshly made food from the area and yoga in one of the most beautiful farm gardens you'll ever see! We'll also explore the valley on foot enjoying beautiful hikes onto neighbouring farms and in the Bangkok Conservancy. An evening of music and food under the stars at Boschendal is sure to be a highlight of this retreat weekend, and there'll also be an opportunity to explore other nearby estates like Dalewood Cheese Farm, Thelma and Tokara to fully experience what the valley has to offer.

Thursday 23 March

08h00: Yoga in the vineyards, followed by brunch at De Zeven

11h00 - 16h30: Leisure time to enjoy optional activities (sports massage,  tastings at Thelema/Tokara) 

16h30: Walk to Bartinney for gin tasting

18h30: Braai in the garden 

 

Friday 24 March 

08h00: Guided hike through Banghoek Conservancy 

10h30: Yoga on the lawn 

12h30: Lunch at Babylonstoren/Dalewood 

16h00: Music, food, and wine under the stars at Boschendal
